Zombie Juice! Vegetarian-Friendly

To celebrate Dawn of the Dreadfuls and a new juicer, Quirk’s lovely and talented Production and Sales Assistant, Melissa Jacobson, brought in a special, healthy treat for our company-wide meeting last week. Instead of our usual fare of pizza, doughnuts, doughnuts on a stick if we’re being extra fancy, or some  decadent, homemade baked goods (we like those, too, don’t get me wrong), Melissa shared a batch of Zombie Juice. The recipe is simple and very healthy, and it made the conference room smell like a freshly-stocked salad bar. The color was serious blood-red, although no zombies, animal or human, were harmed or involved in the making of this juice.

- 1 beet (with a few inches of the stalk)
- 1-1/2 cucumber
- 1 stalk of celery
- 2 carrots
- 1 small chunk of peeled ginger (roughly 1″ long with 1/2″ diameter)
- 1-1/2 apples

If you don’t have a juicer, and if you don’t mind splattering pulp all over your kitchen, you can always use a blender and some cheesecloth. Enjoy!
