5 reasons 24 has regained its title as the best drama on television
From 24

Sure, I could’ve gone with “24 reasons 24 has regained its title as the best drama on television”, but let’s be honest, that’s more than I want to write.  And, way more than you want to read.  So, here it is…

1. Who’s on the right side of the torture debate?  Morality or necessity?  Jack’s methods are definitely morally questionable.  But, are they necessary?  In this season alone, his interrogation methods could’ve saved the country from terrorists overtaking The White House and capturing the President.

2. Agent Walker is a great partner for Jack and a new shining point in the show.  She’s questioned his motives, actions, and emotions.  She thought she knew where she stood on the torture debate, but struggles with it when faced with the situation at-hand.  And, then doesn’t know how to sort through her emotions afterward.

3. No one is safe.  No one.  In the past, they’ve killed off major characters and fan-favorites.  Granted, some of them have come back from the grave.  But, no one is safe.  And, this season has once again proven that.  It definitely makes the audience feel the gravity of every situation.

4. Madam President.  Her inner conflict has been amazing.  She’s taken a harsh line when the danger is vague and the results effecting the American people, but as soon as it starts to hit home she struggles between her roles as President and as a wife and mother.

5.  Chloe.  Tony.  Aaron.  Bill.  It’s an all-star cast reunion.  While CTU is gone, the key members of CTU are intact and have a seemingly stronger sense of duty, honor, and commitment to protecting the US.  Undercover heroes operating on rogue missions are way more exciting than a federal agency playing by the rules and caught up in red tape.

Seasons 1-5 were amazing.  Season 6 was forgettable.  Season 7 could be the best since season 1.  And, it’s not even half-way done.  It’s good stuff.  And, some of the best action on television.  Check it out.
